Georgetown Housing Authority

The Georgetown Housing Authority is a public housing authority, independent of the city, that uses government funding to provide affordable housing.  In Georgetown, the Housing Authority owns and operates two affordable housing duplex and four-plex developments.  They also manage the Housing Choice Voucher/Section 8 program which provides 100 rent vouchers and certificates to families to choose a private rental unit and the GHA pays part of the rent directly to the landlord.
